"Well, where to begin! So our family computer stopped working on day. My son looked at it and told me it had a

"It is truly a rare occasion that I would actually bother signing up to write a review for something.
It takes a miracle or a disaster -- and fortunately, in this case it would be the former.
Let's begin with what happened, for it is a very ironic story.
I wanted to make a full backup of my hard drive.
That's right, what I was doing from the outset was everything I could to prevent myself
from having to use the company I am now reviewing.
My mistake is that I wanted it for free. Being a penny pincher,
I turned down all the backup software that had price tags attached --
I wanted a simple, free solution to make a full image of my hard drive that had a
couple additional features I wanted (like scheduling, being able to ignore bad sectors, etc).
Well, I found something, and as far as I could tell, it was legit.
I forget what it's called, but some programmer wrote it by himself and released it for free for others like myself to use.
Well, it didn't work -- I'm sure the author didn't mean to, but he made my computer unbootable!
Uh oh... I tried a few simple, obvious things -- the system recovery disks, an Ubuntu Live CD, but it was hopeless,
so I was off to find a data recovery service near San Jose, CA.
Now, it wasn't critical -- I had all the time in the world. And like I said, I'm also a penny pincher,
so you can bet I "shopped around" before picking the company.
My review is getting a little long, so let me just summarize:
San Jose Data Services had the most reasonable prices, gave me the quickest response, and in the end,
recovered all of my data and made my computer bootable again.
I don't know how they compared in speed, since, well, I only needed one recovery!
But all in all, it took 5 days to figure out what's wrong and fix it.
I seldom had a better experience with any company whatsoever,
and I would recommend San Jose Data Services to anyone."
